My sister had her baby on Sunday night. She is amazing and beautiful.
Her water broke at 3:45 on Saturday night and they headed to the hospital around 7. Nothing was happening, no contractions no labor, just broken water. After they met with the doctor they decided that if there was no progression they would start her on the pitosin around midnight. NOTHING HAPPENED I got to the hospital around 9am the next morning thinking that once they had her on the pit for a while that she would go into labor…boy was I wrong.
By mid-day she was having some pretty big contractions – over 100 on the scale with the internal monitor – AND SHE WASNT FEELING THEM! ARE YOU KIDDING?!?! After 25 hours of “labor” the doctors said that an emergency c-section was neccessary because of the risk of infection if they didnt get the baby out. And that was that. Little Aleena was born into this world on Sunday, February 8, 2009. 7lbs 8oz and 20″ long. She is amazing. It is so crazy how you can love someone so much and only know them for minutes. My niece will for sure be the best thing to happen to all of us in a long time and for a long time to come! SO – Welcome to the World Baby Aleena! We ♥ you!
